Lavish sets, gorgeous locations, many great actors(both old and new) on roster - but those are the only things going for this film. The story is very choppy; hurried through in some places and plodding along in others. The characters and plot are underdeveloped and confusing. The movie is visually stunning, the storyline is lackluster is best.

What happens when you take a great cast and put it in a film with wonderful cinemtography and backgrounds. Then a story-line that is part history, part Biblical, part "Who Want's to Marry a Millionaire" and you've got this film. The acting was a little weak at times but all in all the story-line was good and kept me interested.

the cinematography, lighting, special effects and costumes are very well done. Story moves nicely with a few humorous parts but it does vary slightly from the King James version of the event. The 'love' scenes were laughably clean and not realistic but the character of Haman(James Callis) was supremely excellent as a Satan-serpent deciever type.

I don't know what I was expecting (boring?). The scenery was majestic and the costumes I enjoyed immensely. I didn't want the movie to end!
