The sets and film transports the movie watcher to another time. This movie is based on the story of Esther from the Bible. The character and setting provide a rich movie that stands apart from other hollywood movies, where the plot is overdone and the acting is stale. I would suggest that anyone of any age watch this movie, it is an experience to behold! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

This movie is full of grace and hope. This is a movie the way they were intended to be without the needless filth and perversion that is prevalant in almost all movies. This movie is for the those with moral courage and a strong sense of moral fiber. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

It's a good story, but this cast doesn't do it full justice. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More This movie was okay as movies go, but it is a very poor representation of the true story of Esther/Hadassah. The true story is already very entertaining, so the writer and director would have done well to accurately represent the facts of the true story along with fleshing out the details as they saw fit. Instead, they changed way too many facts about the people and about the cultural and historical context. They should have remembered that the genre of this story is biography, not historical fiction! Read More This movie was a grand surprise and went beyond what I even thought it would be. The story is told in a way not to force feed you the fact that it is a story from the bible. It is one of the few movie that has come out lately that is a bible story and I will allow my son to son to watch. I wish they would make more bible movies like this one, where the morals of the story is front and center not the religious message. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More To much fiction, and distractions, that went with this movie. If you are looking to watch the true story of Esther, dont bother with this.Did the producer/director even read the story from the Bible before they wrote the script? If you enjoyed The Passion for its authenticness, you will not enjoy A night with the king.No love connection(that I got out of it) between the king, and Esther.Oh did I mention the bikini strap tan lines that the (queen Esther) had in most of the movie. The actors, and story line tanked,Dont get me wrong I love a good Biblical movie ,just keep it biblical ,and leave hollywood out .
