Read More The movie is nothing outstanding, nothing new, and nothing brilliant. The life story of Edie is tragic, yes, but glamorizing the poor little rich girl did grate the nerves. Showcasing Edie as the victim and Andy Warhol as the monster did not seem an accurate depiction. I think Edie and Andy took advantage of each other's talents and Edie's fate was never in Andy's hands as the movie depicts. On the plus side is Sienna Miller. She was a dead ringer for Edie, not just the big beautiful eyes, but her manerisms were dead on. I think this is an "ok" film, but portrayied in a rather unfair way. The behind the scenes were a highlight and gave a better look into the truth. Pair the movie with actual facts about Edie, then you be the judge. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Sienna Miller was good, but other than that, I think it's just lackluster with no personality. You don't get a chance to know the charecters enough to even care what they're doing. Read More The hype from the reviewers made me rent this, what a disappointment! For me, it was like watching a train wreck of two "damaged" personalities, and all it ended up to be was... a TRAIN WRECK! I had little to no sympathy for either Warhol or Sedgewick, they made their own beds, and worsened it with drugs. To say the best, it was a disappointment, but for sure it was DEPRESSING. Read More I rented this to see the love story between Hayden and Sienna (it is rumored thier realistic love scene is real) and quite frankly, that was the only part of the movie I liked. The characters were very well chosen, the story line kept me interested, and I thought it was well written. From what I recall from back then, it seemed to tell the real story of life in the 60's. If you are a retired flower child like me, you will relate and hopefully, enjoy this movie. If you are curious about life in the 60's in the fast lane, then this is the one for you!
