I had heard that the movie might be boring if you already knew most of the science of global warming and climate change, but I found the presentation to be well done and engaging despite my familiarity with the issue. Read More Everyone needs to see this movie. Whether you like Al Gore or not, hold your political views to the left or the right, this movie is full of facts that will shock anyone. How can we destroy our world? I was sad and horrified at the information given; yet there is hope. This movie will if nothing else, get the word out about the effects that we are (not very) slowly bringing upon this world. It does, however, give us ideas of how we can change and that they are small and simple changes. Please see this movie and show it to others. We need to do something about global warming right away! But good 'ole Al could have said all he said in 15 minutes. It was BORING. And in the end he has no answer. He encourages the world to reduce their carbon emissions. Did you know that everytime you fart you let out carbon? With every breath you exhale CO2? I got sick of Al crying the whole time...It needs A LOT of help. Produce a shorter, more well-done version and more people will listen. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Pimping a powerpoint presentation to stupid college kids? That's so pathetic it's not even funny. What's even more pathetic is how many people took this movie serious, some who I thought were smart but now I know they're not. Sorry Al, but your movie proved nothing and you're not tricking me into blindly voting Democrat. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More This movie isn't meant to be entertaining, it's meant to be informational. Al Gore does make light of some events in his political career, but it wasn't surprising to me considering he's been a politician most of his life. You'll get something out of this movie if you don't automatically close your mind because Gore is a politician. The state of the envirmonment isn't dependent upon who you voted for or your political party affiliation. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More There are lots of folks out there in denial. Al Gore presents a factual 'essay' on what we are doing to the planet and there are far too many people who choose to ignore the issue. This is also a bit of an autobiography of an honest, extremely intelligent and interesting man. It's chilling to realize the state we're in now, in this country and in the world. Even a Bush supporter would have to realize that we'd have likely been in a much more optimistic place right now if Al Gore had won the presidency. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? The truth behind "The Inconvenient Truth" is scary as hell. I remember as a teenager hearing about how the affects of Global Warming wouldn't truly be felt for hundreds of years, and I thought "Ok, I'm safe, my children will be safe, but I'll do what I can now." Now that I hear that the affects will probably be catastrophic in the next 50 years I'm completely freaked out. The evidence speaks for itself. I think EVERYONE needs to see this movie. Just get past the 40 minutes of Gore praising himself and putting down Bush and its a good watch, a necessary watch.
