The music glues the entire movie together. The story is very typical and I did not find it shocking, but I do think that the characters "descent" is portrayed in a fresh and relevant way. I thought that the writing was pretty good. At first I thought it was the story of a girls life and then it turns out to be a bit of mystery. Read MoreI am a huge fan of Ms. Dawson and she committed herself fully to the role, which unfortunately called for her to play dead (and she did that better than any dog I have ever trained). The revenge was somewhat satisfying in the ironic sense (no spoiler here), but frankly, Bronson did it better in any of the Death Wish movies, if you go for that sort of thing.
