Partly, as a police investigation is involved, and dead bodies pile up. Is it a thriller? Partly, as it will have you on the edge of your chair. Is it a horror tale? Partly, as you come face to face with the terrifying situation that the young man in the film finds himself in. The fact that the picture is shot in black and white also adds to the intensity of the story, which unfolds slowly but unrelentingly to the monstrous event which is the central part of the plot. If you choose to rent this film, be sure to watch the DVD extra that is an interview with a man who actually does what is portrayed here-a gamble that is a matter of life or death. The fact that this occurs in real life may be the most shocking part of all. One last thing-after seeing this film you will never look at a light bulb the same way again. This movie kills the viewer, so what's the point. I love foreign movies but this one had no redeaming value, no point except drugs kill. What else in new. Russian roulette is not good for anyone. Read More I found this very slow moving and with little or no character development ( I would have never suspected that the protagonist had a penchance for 'following the rules' as the trailer suggests). The cinematography was quite poor and the plot had moments where it was captivating (or gave you the impression it was building up to something) but overall it was quite predictable and very dull. My husband turned it off after about 30 minutes. I watched the entire thing, just to see what was this mystery about making money. I cannot believe someone would knowingly do something like this just to earn money and that is only if you live. Once I saw what the game was that was the movie. I told my husband what the ending was. I have to admit, I did fast forward to get this movie going. I do not recommend this movie. I did not know it was subtitled either.
