Worth watching but only once. It was a tad obsessive at times.

As a lover of words, my huband and I found this documentary entertaining. We never thought about Will Shortz before and now see his name all over Barnes and Noble 's Crossword Puzzle books. We purchased one of his books and as amateur puzzle-doers, we aren't as "bad" as we thought!

I loved this movie, as I am terrible at crossword puzzles and admire people that can figure them out. My mother and brother are whizzes at crosswords and didn't like this movie! I was fascinated that the best aficianados of crosswords are musicians and physics majors....that some can do the NYTimes in 4 minutes and wonder what the problem is when others are still slogging through it. The tournaments were fun, the people real and great, and I'm sure doing crosswords helps to prevent Alzheimers. This movie is worth watching and I thought alot of fun.

One of the best movies I have seen in awhile. I wanted every key player to win and I was amazed at the unity that the crossword puzzles brought to so many different people. It was a great movie!

Too much time was spent on the personal lives of the tournament participants, not enough on how the crossword constructors create their puzzles. Being a crossword puzzle fan, I was hoping to learn more about the intricacies of puzzle construction rather than the self-motivated opinions and behavior of the participants. The cameo appearances were better than those of the participants. All in all, even though a disappointing film, it was interesting and worth watching ONCE!
