Read More In the time where most movies are full of nudity, course language and other obsceneties, it's nice to find a movie that I can easily say others should see. Though the movie is cheesy at times it has a great storyline and Disney does well at amusingly poking fun at many of its own movies.
If you are looking for an enjoyable, clean movie by which no one will be offended this is one that fits. You will find yourself laughing, and crying. I would even go as far to say that it makes you feel there is hope for the world again.
If you don't enjoy fairytales and happy endings this movie is not for you. Full of cheery songs, cute characters, and creative graphics this movie is the perfect match for the family. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No | ||

My 8 yr old girl LOVED this movie! Me too. I was so happy to see a classy kids movie that does not apologize for believing in Happily Ever After.
There were a couple unnecessary fem nods.. (the dragon calling the man a damsel in distress, the woman dipping the man at the alter) but that is to be expected in 2007. Overall...it was a great film and after the likes of Shrek, cars, etc and all the movies that have been geared exclusively to little boys over the last 10 years..it was very welcome! Some on this review board have used the word cheesy...but you should realize the cheese is deliberate and translates on the screen as hilarious!!

Precious and cutsie-wootsie - but that's the joke. Once Susan Sarandon (as the wicked witch) shows up in the real in NYC things pick up quite a bit. Amy Adams? She really IS the girl next door these days isn't she?..with her big blue eyes and turned up nose - and makes a lovely princess. Once ever so McDreamy Patrick Dempsey takes her hand and leads her to the dance floor this movie had me hook line and sinker. I was 6 yrs old again. OHhhhh THAT's what this was all about!!! Now I get it. Enchanted was truly enchanting and scored sooooo beautifully. Extra nice was this shows that sometimes a princess can do the saving too. Good message for girls. Our critic usually doesn't give such high marks so I was surprised when the movie wasn't quite as good as I expected. It was pretty predictable, but okay to watch once. Read More I like this movie and I think the reason is that though it follows the parameters set for many a cartoon and simply turns it into a live action movie, you seem to see the characters as that much more real too. You feel a deep sense of where all the characters are coming from both emotionally and geographically. This is one of the things that endears you to them. Amy Adams portrayal is wonderful as for Patrick Dempsey, you could have thrown some scrubs on him and it would have been the same standard performance of Doctor Dreamy with a different name. The only thing they did was throw in a daughter. The musical numbers are performed well and don't seem the fantastic stretch I thought they would be. This movie will click with everyone who enjoys the Disney movie formula. Great for the whole family and one of the movies destined to be a Disney Classic. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL?
