Read MoreI have just watched the first of the three discs of Bleak House and have found the beginning episodes to be an amazing representation of Charles Dickens' Victorian-era writing. The scenes were done so well that I could almost "smell" what the filmmaker was trying to capture in addition to the visual effects. The acting is superb. I heartily recommend watching the entire DVD through twice to catch nuances missed the first time that add tremendously to the story line. I can hardly wait to see the rest of the series!
