Read More This is a must watch DVD unless you have stock in the oil companies. We as americans must do something about how the oil companies and our goverment control what mileage our cars get or new technology. Write your congressmen or women. Plan trips more accordingly. Becuase until we all do something we will continue paying the oil companies and increase their Billions of dollars in profits. I had more to say but Blockbuster must be owned by an oil company. And wouldn't allow me to post it here. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

-EV1 may have been leased between $250-$400/month but they were experimental. They were basically given away at that low prices just to put test cars on the street. Low volume production and experimental (not serial production) parts and batteries it probably cost about $100.000.. Software companies do that all the time, they even give you the software free during testing (beta) phase.
-GM had to support EV1 on the market. This means, they should keep technicians trained, produce spare parts and run supply chain to provide spare parts to those EV1s on the street. For a small fleet this costs a lot of money.
Don't get me wrong, I still say GM shouldn't neglect the market for EVs, because they are easier to produce than internal combustion cars and if GM doesn't , some Korean, Chinese or Japanese car company will. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

A must see. I would have liked to have seen a little research into the corporate connections that existed on the boards of the automakers. Most folks don't realize that corporate officers often fill multiple positions on boards of several corporations at the same time or consecutively eg. automakers and energy corps. I hope we are allowed to switch before it is too late to make a difference. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

There are plenty of car manufacturers other than the US. I'd watch it but recognize it's from ONE point of view. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No |
