Read More What you don't know you don't know. Watching this movie will show you the truth that never before in history have car companies actually destroyed technology in the attempt to keep progress from happening. I personally drove the EV1, have read how it was made and can only say I cried watching these marvelous cars actually be crushed and destroyed for absolutely no reason. Read More This movie touches on some of the same issues that effected the near death of the electric trolley car. Another amazingly efficient/"green" mode of public transportation. People have power it numbers and I am in full support of taking responsibility for our future. Electric makes sense! What happended with the electric car does not! While not perfect, this movie provides video footage that is hard to dispute and...food for thought! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

It opens our eyes to what was other and few were able to take advantage of. I would also have to agree that it would have been best for GMC to speak about their side of the story. If GMC has nothing to hide then why not speak up. This documentary raises so many questions, hopefully one day these can get answers. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

The car technology is very interesting to see, but the film is one sided. They always use the words "auto industry" when they are showing a visual of General Motors and I feel this is very unfair. They focus on the EV1 but barely scratch the surface on covering Toyota's behavior with its EV product. And the celebrities are insanely annoying and uneducated. Read More Glosses over key facts, such as the more than $100K production cost per vehicle that forced GM to offer the EV1 as a lease-only, the fact the GM's insurance carrier would not renew their risk policy on the vehicle. Even gets rather silly when, as a "demonstration" of the differences between electric and non-electric vehicles, it shows a mechanic handling lubricated parts to a non-electric and showing us how dirty his hands got. There are interesting facts buried in here, but they are hard to find. Note that Toyota and GM are right now locked in a "battery battle" that GM aims to win, which will determine who gets to market first with a plug-in hybrid that offers 150 mpg. GM and others will do whatever they can to make a buck and great products die every day in our capitalist market. There is no conspiracy of evil or dumb people here, just an old story of a great idea that didn't market well. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More The movie was rather informative, but it's imposing, lacks perspective, and blatantly ignores facts. Most of the celebrities in the movie are arrogant, insisting that if the electric cars works from them in LA/Hollywood then they're good for everyone. They blissfully ignore the fact that some people need to drive long distances regularly and some occasionally, that while the cars are zero-emission the coal plants that create the electricty aren't, and that batteries suck in cold weather (something this movie doesn't even bring up). If the movie had been more realistic and honest I may have actually like it. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
