Read MoreThis movie was okay. No real twists or turns in it. My friends and I went to see the costuming more than anything. It had great costuming and was accurate in that sense. This movie is just to entertain. You don't need to think while watching it. Definately not a movie to have kids present. There's lots of blood and gore and icky scenes; that's why kids shouldn't be present. Anyway, good to entertain, not worth seeing in the theatres. Read MoreClancy Brown, the actor who portrayed the lead antagonist, made a really good point about this movie. It may not be accurate, but its Hollywood. They're allowed to take some dramatic license. Although the "viking" attire may not have been accurate, it was very well done. The cinematography gave this movie a very comic book feel, and it plays out like one. Action, love, and melodrama. Clancy Brown did a great job and Karl Urban wasn't bad, but not good enough to make him stand out. All in all, this movie is worth the watch, and the special features are great too. If you watch this movie befor you see 300 or gladiotor or bravheart it might be great. the action is pretty cool but the story is terrible so i will (but barely) recommend this for a rent. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

I was dissapointed because the acting was really bad, the story was fine but poorly lit shots and bad f/x made the whole thing really dull.
