The debut film by director Robert Edwards, Land of the Blind, is a political satire starring Ralph Fiennes as a military man who helps overthrow his government. He does so at the urging of a political prisoner, played by Donald Sutherland, who has been outspoken about the corruption of the current regime. The soldier learns that corruption may in fact be an inevitable part of having power. Don't bother to rent this stinker. Ralph Fiennes must have owed someone a favor to be caught dead in this film. Completely stupid, nonsensical garbage.

This is about the most stupid movie I've ever seen. Big name actors and talent wasted on a script and the premise for this film that is below belief. The only reason to see this movie is to find out if you hate it as much as I did. You will.

A tasteless spoof about a childish and incompetent dictator for life of an unknown country gets the tables turned on him. This is satire so ridiculous and stupid that it amazes me how a wonderful actor like Ralph Fiennes of "The English Patient" fame could stoop to such low depths. He must have really needed the money!

I actually didn't even watch it. i usually am not so swayed by by other people's opinions, but this movie got such horrible reviews from virtually everyone that I wasn't going to gamble 2 hours of my life on it, simply for curiosity's sake. I guess it was what would be considered a pre-emptive reviewing of the reviews...

I was very disappointed. Ralph Fiennes is a good actor but this movie is extrmely vulgar and in poor taste.

This movie jumps around so much it gets confusing and when it's not confusing it's awful. A dictator wearing a diaper during sex and a political prisoner using his own feces to write political statements on the wall of his cell are the highlights of this dog.
