i watched this wonderful movie with my wife and we both absolutely loved it! we loved the way the characters miss potter writes about actually come to life on the very pages she's writing on even as she is putting together this story into book form! also, the scenery is just staggeringly beautiful and helps to make this movie even more memorable. there are not many movies either i or my wife would care to see more than once but i must say we watched this one several times before returning it! in fact, we may even buy it. phil n.

A charming movie that captivated me. Lush scenery, great acting, very true to its time period. Miss Potter shows us what women can do when they defy convention and do as their heart tells them. I rarely ever buy movies, but this one is on my wish list! If you are looking for nudity, profanity, stale jokes or bad acting, this is not the movie for you.

The movie was ok I guess, but it's not the type of movie I would want to see again. And somehow I find zellweger's phony english accent very nauseating....

I can't praise this movie enough. It is extremely well acted, the emotions of the main characters are real. My husband and I laughed, cried, screamed and hooted throughout this. (Thank goodness we were in the privacy of our own home.) Zellweger's protrayal of Miss Potter is so excellent, all I want to say is - go girl. I wish I had your gumption!

We loved this film. It was warm and endearing but still realistic as it visited some dark and sad issues. The acting and scenery was superb. It was a wonderful revisit to childhood, for adults.

This is a charming movie about a talented woman who overcomes the restrictions of the British class system. Her talent is amazing. The romance between her and her publisher breaks down some of these boundaries. Her life went to be different from the one she planned. The scenery of the Lake District is lush and beautiful, but the greatest gift was that she left it in a government trust so that people could enjoy this lovely land for ever. I like Renee Zellweger in this role.

Utterly charming, creative and delightful. Contains a lovely bit of whimsy, but a good deal of real-life drama, too, a beautiful romance and elements of cheeky humor, particularly in the depiction of upper-class snobbery. The casting and direction, the script, illustrations, animation and scenery are all spectacular. This is a wonderfully engaging film for all ages, perfectly edited with nothing extraneous and nothing missing from the narrative. The special features are each marvelous and teach us so much about the incredibly strong and vibrant woman who was Beatrix Potter. Be sure to watch them all! I've also found the theme song to be a sweet and soothing lullaby.

I liked the movie enough to watch it once. Don't think I would ever watch it again. But it shows how the different "class" people were and how they judged others. Not much to say about it.... that's why I would say it wasn't great. But if your over 30 and need hope ... maybe she can give it to you.(lol)

I'm sorry but I tried watching this movie twice, both times I found it very ahrd to watch. The characters were annoying and drawn out. It definately should not be getting all the hype.
