Read MoreI was glad I watched this movie. It was not a blockbuster and didn't have any action scenes or car chases, but I really enjoyed learning about Beatrix Potter. What a lovely person! I loved her independence and giving nature - played wonderfully by Renee Zellweger. Ewan McGregor was also perfectly cast. Also enjoyed the capturing of the period in which she lived. Perfection. Let's hear it for "Bunnies in jackets with brass buttons". Brilliantly executed story of Beatrix Potter who's contribution & legacy to this world goes beyond her lovely drawings and books. Utterly charming movie - wonderful cast Renee Zellweger and Ewan McGregor are magic, and the icing on this cake is Katie Melua's voice & song "Let Me Teach You to Dance". WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

The role gave her an opportunity to display those demure glances she is so good at. Fluttering eyelashes, chin tucked in her high collars and major expressiveness in her body language all were examples of the skill we have seen in more recent major blockbusters. Also the love connection between Ewan and Renee was ridiculous, who in their right mind did the casting??!! OK, other than that I am a big fan..I actually watched it till the end, laughing..
