17 out of 21 people found this review helpful It amazes me how hyped one can get over a name. My other half figured it would be good since Francis Ford Coppola was behind the movie. I walked out of the room, chalked it up to another wasteful 30 minutes of my time wasted. I have given up after 30 mins, max-45 mins of hoping something will come of a movie.We finally just turned it off altogether. Find we are doing this much more with movies these days. We have been digging into looking for movies in the 70's and 80's lately. Find them much more gratifying. Just to make a note. When others only make comments on another comment for error of spelling or other minor things, this don't help anyone with the original reason they looked up the reviews. Read More I picked up this movie without knowing anything about it, but thought it could not be that bad as it was directed by Francis Ford Coppola. Boy was I wrong. Its slow, boring, and very hard to follow. I have to say I fell alseep watching this movie after about 80 minutes.

I like it less but it was entertaining. There is a lot of foreign languages and sometimes you know what's happening without the words. A lot of whispering too. This movie has a lot going on in it and you are kind of left on your own with interpretations. All and all a good story, camera usage, settings, and directing. Read More Can not understand the reviewers giving this a poor rating!,what's the rush? ,it could be a little shorter.The concept was different it being a sci-fi or could be a love/drama story.Patience must be a virtue these days,I could not see where it was all that slow.It kept my interest to see what would be the outcome considering the time was WW2/ 1938 place Europe.Some imagination also helps along with the what if the scenario was possible especially at the time of our demise.Just slow down and you have a good movie.
