I initially got it for my 9 year-old daughter but when I watched it, I was glued to the screen. It was packed with good scenes, scenarios, and action. I really thought that this movie was going to be dry but, to my surprise, it was not. I enjoyed it and hope that a series of movies come out under this title with the same intensity given in this one. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I thought it was OK. I was pleased that the language was unobjectionable and the main character didn't crumble to peer pressure. Other than that it was fairly predictable. But I got it for my kids and they loved it so that's what matters. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

The storyline is pretty good, too - - well worth a watch ! Emma Roberts is actress Julia Roberts' neice - so the bloodlines of acting are there. The only knock I have with this movie is both Emma and her father in the movie had many unrealistic emotional acting moments - - when the action was tense and incredibly unpredictable, they both acted MUCH too cool - almost detached, almost bored - from how people would TRULY act, if events such as these were happening to them ! But again - not a bad movie - most of it was really fun ! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More I never was really interested in this movie but i got forced to see it anyway. The first half was so cheesy and stupid that i thought the whole movie would be that way. Thankfully I was wrong. Of course the movie did have it's moments, like the bomb in the sewer part. There are plenty of other things like that. I was happy to see that Bruce Willis makes a quick cameo. I was also really happy to see Barry Bostwick in this too. Emma Roberts was ok. There could have obviously been another choice for Nancy Drew. She was just unemotional. The story was unrealistic. A teenager solves a mystery while adults have been trying to solve it for years? I don't know how to compare to the books because i have never read them but i did enjoy this movie. Sit throught the first 50 minutes of awful dialouge and unrealistic storyline and then things will start to pick up. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

It seemed more like a comedic sattire than a believable storyline. I would have expected Leslie Neilsen to be the father with how this was written. For one thing how much money could her dad have been making to afford to rent a house like that (shouldn't it have been a tourist attraction?) and why did it take a teenager to figure out this mystery. Hello? Could have been a much better storyline. The acting for what it was worth was very good. I would have like to have seen a little more emotion from Nancy Drew she seemed on one emotional plane the entire movie. Nothing much ruffled her feathers. Even when she was being targeted for murder. Skip this one. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
