A hard-nosed star reporter learns who her real friends are -- and gets in way over her head -- investigating a murder in this twisty thriller. Perfect Stranger stars Halle Berry as Rowena, a prominent New York journalist who writes using a pseudonym to entrap some of the tri-state area's most corrupt individuals, using a network of informants, acquaintances, and digital gadgets. When her latest exposé is buried at the behest of her paper's corporate backers, she walks off the job and into a personal quagmire. Her childhood friend Grace (Nicki Aycox) is murdered when she threatens to reveal she's been sleeping with married advertising mogul Harrison Hill (Bruce Wills). With the help of her loyal techie friend Miles (Giovanni Ribisi), she goes undercover -- and online -- to find the smoking gun that will indict Hill. But Rowena soon finds herself caught in a web of manipulation, deceit, and false truths. ~ Michael Hastings, Rovi

John G--What an idiot. Very few movies have twists like this. Totally unpredictable. Don't read John G review or it will ruin the movie. Must see.

This movie was suprisingly good. I was on the edge of my seat every minute, and I was blown away by the real situation. You never see it coming!

not one of Bruce Willis' or Halle Berry's most memorable performances...I watched it just a week ago and I had to re-read the synopsis to remember it. Wasn't a bad movie, wasn't a good movie...just a so-so, predictble movie

The "grabber" in the fifth minute of the film was totally predictable by what led to it. We watched another 15 minutes (maybe) before turning it off for gratuitous profanity (we knew there would be some, but it was overdone), perfunctory acting, and mundane direction. Maybe the film would have come together later, but the trend was downhill. (For instance, it was not credible that a U.S. Senator, active in controversial issues, would have no staff around to greet visitors during the middle of the day. I could see it as a device to save on the movie's budget.) If you are a strong fan of the main actors, you may enjoy the show. Though I like Halle Berry and Bruce Willis in general, this movie did not work at our house.

This movie was alright. Didn't think the plot was great. Bruce Willis has done better in other movies.

Hi, Really disliked film. Bruce Willis does not convince the viewer that he's a high-end fashion designer, (such as Klein or Lauren). Halle Berry just picked up her character right after "Gothika". A great Bruce Willis film that I would recommend is "The Jackal" (a clean break from his Die Hard saga). Berry was also much better in "Monster's Ball". Perfect Stranger could be a fitting sequel to "Gothika" (which I also disliked). The plot does not entice the viewer from one scene to the next; (I was just hoping that the film could end quickly). But at the end of the day, it's up to whoever reads this review and to decide for themselves.

I loved the cast, as usual, but why did they have to use the word FU__? Everything was fine for the seniors I was showing it to until the word FU__ ruined it for the Conservatives. Pay attention to our Seniors, please!
