3 out of 3 people found this review helpful I picked this off the shelf expecting it to be a "mockumentary" similar to ones that seem to be surfacing more frequently now. I was surprised to find out, not only was this a serious film, but it was filmed in Scotland (guess it helps if you read the box?!?) The previous reviewer was right about the think accents (I am lucky my wife does not have as difficult a time as I do and will translate) but I was able to make out most of the dialog after acclimating myself to it a short way in. At times it was predictable and seemed to drag, but the climax was sastisfactory enough and not exactly what I expected. The production was much better than I estimated for a film of this genre, although nothing exactly wowed me neither was I laughing at cheesy CGI effects better left to the viewer's imagination. The dialog my brian allowed me to make out was well written and delivered convincingly.WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

This movie, however, turned out rather decent despite the low budgeting. We loved it for its honesty, sense of humor, and genuine dedication to presenting a plot. While watching, we occasionally laughed/blushed as we caught glimpses of ourselves or our friends. To all the gamers out there, I highly recommend this film. Not because it'll become a cult classic (which it probably won't -- it wasn't that funny), but because the writer/director presented an enjoyable, fun movie. To the non-gamers, you may not understand all of the humor (e.g. the scene where Ralph enters the Gaming Society and interacts with the Story Keeper) but you can still appreciate the movie all the same. Read More When the movie first starts and you first glimpse the CG type animations you think, "Oh no this is going to be horrible", but surprisingly the movie has some depth to the story. The characters are well thought out and defined, the acting is not bad and the plot of the film is easy to follow with an interesting twist on the ending. There are some childish jokes and play at humor, but overall the writing is of at the very least television quality. The animations in the film help add to the 'make believe' nature of the world the characters play. Not a bad film after all. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
