True to the form of John Waters, yet this was made over 25 years ago. This is a classic for the true movie appreciationado. (My own word). Good luck with your decision.

I saw this movie several years ago, perhaps when I was too young for it. If you compare any John Waters movie to “common” movies, you would rate very low. I believe that Waters’ fans are morbidly attracted to his movies, given the repetitive elements on his films: demented storylines, extreme characters and bizarre family-life situations [somewhere between “Married with Children” and “Family Guy”, but more sick]. If you care to take a peek at Waters’ movies, do so with an OPEN mind, they can be “funny”; otherwise, do not bother, especially if you are easily offended.
