Had 40 people at this showing waiting to see movie, I live in a Adult Community. I would suggest that you review all disc's being sent out to on-liners so that any problems with the disc can be avoided. I was fortunate to have a secondary disc at home to play that night! If your life was perfect, you will hate the film as you were shelthered and cannot relate and probably don't care to.
It is the story of a little girls dream to enter the Little Miss Sunshine pageant. It has everything from the gay uncle, the drug abusing grandpa, the son who has taken a vow of silence and hates the entire World and a father who is a failed motivational speaker/writer.
It has life, death, it is sad, funny, cute and Way messed up. At the end it gets kinda freaky but that is all the more fun. Watch it and love it or rent something else, your choice. I can't believe I waited until May 2009 to watch it. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Read MoreI found this movie very disappointing, mainly due to the heavy use of profanity used in the presence of young children. As an adult I also find the excessive & superfluous use of profanity disgusting & unnecessary. Most people do not talk like that, & in a "family" type of movie, it is totally out of place & uncalled for. Why does grandpa have to be portrayed as a drug user? To be "hip"?
