This a is a great movie! An amazing and consistently exciting and fascinating story of the tail end of the Nazi occupation of The Netherlands, the Dutch resistance, and a courageous Jewish woman's efforts to survive with dignity intact. It truthfully explores what is most noble and ignoble in human nature. Fine acting and direction, smart multi-dimensional characters, a rare film that works as a thought-provoking, adult exploration of human nature and the Nazi era and as an adventure replete with rousing sex and violence. Read MoreThis Movie was a really surprise at first i thought its was something like the notebook and really didn't want to go through that with my gf again but we watch and its a real WWII epic with action, and a great unique story/perspective of a jewish girl in occupied Netherlands. Throughout the movie there had to been 3 to 4 languages being spoken or subtle but worked out smoothly. I would certainly recommend this in fact i will probably buy it. The mystery surrounding the black book, and the entire story kept me wanting to know what would happen next. I have told many of my friends about this film, and they have all enjoyed it!
