Read More Dissappointed to see sexual imorality promoted and to end the movie with a "proud mother watching her daughter" bashing the president of the US in a song @ a talent show contest and then kissing a boy!!! Call me old fashioned, fine!! But there are just some things that 11-12 year olds should not be doing. And then people wonder why we have a teen sexual immorality / pregnancy problem?? Read More If you want to see a lame movie with terrible writing & truly awful acting by Michelle Pfeiffer, rent this gem! There are only a few scenes that are watchable. All the other scenes just make you cringe at how bad they are. The scenes with the daughter singing her satire of "Ironic" were really good, and the very short scene of Paul Rudd's character dancing brought a chuckle. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Read More Michelle Pfeiffer is hot, Paul Rudd stands out like a hybrid of Tom Hanks and Jim Carrey. The movie relies on its characters and does not spend a lot of time griping about age-based stereotypes. Amy Heckerling has grown up, but she still needs to have an executive producer to remind her that yes, her audience has a desire to include God in their families even if she's still living at Ridgemont High. Pfeiffer and Rudd have strong on-screen chemistry. Not for kids. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More I think the essential story was good, but there was this strange side-line of mother nature and it just took away from the movie as a whole. The chemistry between the main character, her daughter, and her male relationships was actually really good. I made myself sit through the first half hour, barely, but from the entrance of Paul Rudd to the end, the movie actually got quite funny. If you can bare through bad parts, I recommend this movie. No patience?- Surf on to the next selection.... Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
