The story was ok. Have you ever seen a clean Indian [grocery, spice and such] store [except in this movie]? I wish they would shoot the movie with some reality.

Read More This movie was okay, not that bad. It kept me interested the whole time, but it was definitely low budget and filmed on a rather elementary level, like a TV special on the lifetime or oxygen network would be filmed. A lot of dumb special effects (or lack of them most of the time). The movie is a "chick flick". It had nice colors and the shop works in was pretty but you have to be willing to accept a LOT of things in the movie that don't add up. My sister and I watched it and we had a lot of laughs about how dumb it was at times. Dylan Mcdermott is still a hottie, but he wasn't his best in this, and the female lead was a little annoying, but she did an acceptable job. But it isn't bad if maybe you are desperate for a movie, and you are the time who sits on a couch watching Oxygen network love stories and eating bon bons on a friday night. It is basically a photo-shoot for Aishwarya Rai. It is stupid beyond comprehension! Thank goodness she's got her looks, because she cannot act her way out of a paper bag. It is incomprehensible to me that this movie ever got made, but I guess it went straight to video, so that pretty much sums it up! Do yourself a favor and don't rent this movie! You just get enough erotic energy before the story reverts back to mundane plotlines. The chemistry between Aishwarya Rai and Dylan McDermott is strong - and offsets the superstitious/fantastical story.
