Read More Watching this movie without being familiar with Twelfth Night is not, IMHO, to do it full justice. The story is remarkably faithful to the Bard's original concept, and is a very conscious homage to it, as the special features point out. Amanda Bynes carries the movie very well, despite general expectations that she doesn't have the acting chops to do it. In fact she does, and the supporting cast is equally up to the task. Even Vinnie Jones does well, lending some soccer bona fides to the plot. Beyond that, the movie is wildly funny, if gross at some points. The story is of course utterly nonsensical, and Viola completely unconvincing as a boy; but that, and the fact that absolutely no one notices, is the key to the joke. Overall, very entertaining, and perhaps the start of a major career for Bynes. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More If you enjoyed Princess Diaries (I or II) or What a Girl Wants, you will enjoy She's the Man. The plot is simple, girl does her twin a favor (pretends to be him while he is in Europe with his Rock band), falls in love with a boy (who is her roommate, that doesn't know she is a girl, and who is in love with someone else)and tries to make the boys soccer team (because at her school, her exboyfriend agrees with the coach that girls can not play with boys). There are other plots and twists, but overall the movie is cute and easy to watch. Although I am too old to usually watch these types of movies, I enjoyed it. Another well delivered performance by Amanda Bynes. Parents pay attention to the rating, some of the scenes I believe were not suitable for the under 13 population. All in all a good family rental for the older teens in the family. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
