But I thought it was better than i would have expected it to be. I would say it was a smart, funny, off beat kind of comedy. All the actors brought something deeper than just a character: they brought it to life.Keri Russel played this character with depth. She made you feel her pain, anger, innocence, and a understanding of even the affair. I would tell anyone that is down to earth and that can deal with real life to watch it..... it made me smile Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
28 out of 42 people found this review helpful I didn't have super high expectations for this film, but it ended up being alright. I watched it enroute during a flight to Paris. Not sure if too many people know the history behind the film though. Adrienne Shelly (one of the actresses/the writer and director of the film) was murdered on November 1st, 2006, so it was kind of odd watching it and knowing it was one of her last marks in the world. I wonder if she ever got to see the final version of the film before she passed? It was a really odd murder too. Such a pitty and a shame. She was pretty funny in the movie.WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Unfortunately, it didn't meet even my lowest expectations. It was extremely slow-moving, not much in the way of emotion and even the humor fell flat.
I like Keri Russell just not in this film. Her character stated some very good facts about when you're in an empty relationship, how the most unexpected person and situation can elicit the most deepest part of you that you somehow lost in the abyss or so you thought. Ultimately, as always, Love transforms you to your best parts and it all becomes clear within you, independent of another person, and for the first time, you SEE and Act Accordingly:)
I saw it all the way through as it helped me get to sleep. The lessons are there if you have the patience to get all the way through it. Watch it for a Sunday night movie kind of feel, if you must. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I just wish that some people here would know how to give a good review! People wants to read the synopsis but not everything that is happening to the movie! I wish I could stop reading the review but then I also want to know how other people find the movie and then some are just plain dumb to write reviews with spoilers that ruins it for those who haven't seen the movie.
