One guy almost gets his head crushed by a semi!! I rewound that about 10 times thinking, "Man, that was a close one. Guy almost got killed." But I ended up fast forwarding through most of the movie because the story was so absurd. The end was incredibly stupid. Was I watching an action movie, or Olympic gymnastics? Skip this one at all costs!!! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Some good fight scenes, not all of them though. Some parts of the movie were a little weird or just straight up not believable (soccer ball scenes). Not the most interesting of movies in this genre. Good stunts. So far along these lines of movies The Protector has been the best. This movie is just overall mediocre but worth a rental if you really love action/fighting movies as I do. Read More This was one of the lamest movis i ever watched. Didnt make sense, like in the beginning the guy had a chance to save his friend, He coulda easily pick up the bomb and throw it out of the trailer instead of leaving it in the trailer and have his crippled buddy defuse it. and when the villagers fought back, Hello! there were guns dropped all over the place but instead they charged the enemies with no weapons and got sprayed with automatics. too many senseless stuff, you'll see if you watch it. Acting was bad, plot is predictable. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Born to Fight is more about stunts than fighting. Some really cool moves and lots of crazy stunts are pulled off in this movie, no CGI either. So when you see a guy on a motorcycle going 60mph and crash through wooden scaffolding, you know that happened. Also, the semi-truck stunt with the guy falling off is INSANE. All stunts are well planned out and it pays off.
The bad thing about this movie is that it takes awhile for all this cool action to kick into gear. The first 30-45 minutes are kind of slow as things build up then its just all craziness for the rest of the movie.
Also, check out a Thai movie called Gerd Ma Lui (aka Born to Fight) that stars Panna Rittikrai from 1984. Great fight scenes. I mean great!!! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

The stuntmen earn their money with some very dangerous, bone-crunching falls and beatings. The fight choreography itself is only slightly above average for the first hour. Afterwards, the viewer's patience is treated with one of the most absurdly unrealistic - yet entertaining - action sequences in motion picture history. Lasting over 30 minutes, the finale is the perfect blend of well-choreographed slow-motion gymnastics, gunfire, illogical decision-making, heat-seeking soccer balls, and unintentional hilarity when the lead character is assisted by athletes, a Beat Takeshi Thai look-a-like, a one-legged dude on crutches, and a 5-year girl who knows martial arts. The patent ridiculousness of the entire scene is guaranteed to leave the viewer in gut-wrenching laughter. Enjoy. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

This film almost has a plot, and it's nothing like the description. A group of olympic athletes happens to be in a village when it's threatened by bandits. What follows are some of the best action sequences I've seen in a long time. Do not rent this expecting a Hollywood, Jet Li, or Jackie Chan action film. This is low-budget Thai action at its finest. Very rough, very painful, but what they can do is amazing. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

How could anyone takes themselves seriously in this movie? Let me tell you, if the athletes in Thailand are as good as the people in this movie are...there wouldn't be a gold medal left for anyone else. Not to mention 7 year olds beating the crap out of guys with machine guns and one legged guys with crutches beating up the bad guys with wicker balls...PEOPLE, I COULDN'T MAKE THIS UP. Either the Taiwanese need to retrain their guerilla soldiers or Thai villages are just off the hook when it comes to fighting people with machine guns, cannons, nuclear weapons, etc. Don't waste your time or a rental unless you want a good unintentional laugh!!
