Some of the lines in the movie are classic, to live on for a long time. Very funny at times and deadly serious at other times. Is this how we got into the mess in Afganistan? You bet! WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Read MoreVery good movie and the acting was very good. But lets not forget Ronald Regan, Charlie didn't do it all on his own. This movie shows why we can't just walk out of Iraq, we helped rid Afghanistan of the Russians and then just walked away which led to extremist taking over the country and turning it into a basket case. Wars are not pretty or fun especially to people like us who hold life so dear but unfortunately sometimes its the only way to go,

Kudos to Tom Hanks and Phillip Seymore Hoffman. As always wonderful performances that make you care about their characters. The pace drags a bit & the obsession with "shooting down the helicopters" wasn't handled properly, but having watched the documentary extras on the real life heroes they portray (which I strongly recommend doing so yourself) I have grown to appreciate the movie much more. Who doesn't love a great true story? Fascinating. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

This movie was a disappointment. I truly expected so much more.

My husband's cousin was in this movie and I was glad to finally see it but it was so boring I kept falling asleep. Even Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts couldn't make this movie worth the two hours! WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
