If you saw the original with Gregory Peck then it may not be worth your time to see this updated version. The film was basically the same just modernized with a few twists. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

That, and the kid was too creepy. I don't mean that I was scared of him... one of the things that made the original so great was that the only reason why you were afraid of the kid was because of what you suspected, but otherwise, the kid was completely normal and kind of cute.
In this one, he's all pale with red rimmed eyes...he just looks like an evil little bastard, and that detracts from the movie overall. Close this ReviewWAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

I do say to those of you who have not seen the other version but loved this one rent the old and than rent the Omen II, cause if the first classic scares you wait until you see the second. The Omen II is by far the scariest of them all and is well worth renting. If you have no religious believes no you probably won't be scared, If your looking for gore go rent the saw movies. Horror movies arent meant to be oscar winners, there suppose to scare the hell out of you and The Omen definetely accomplishes this task. I feel sorry for the kid who has to live with the fact he played this part for the rest of his life. I hope he built in free therapy for life into his contract.
