I found this title on Foxfaith.com, thinking that it focused more on John Hurt's character (as a catholic priest) and the refugees...boy, was I wrong! This film is dominated by violent scenes of people being hacked to death with machetes and shots of bloody corpses along roadsides and pillaged villages. Don't get me wrong, I know that there's no way to 'sugar coat' genocide...I just don't want any of you to be caught off guard the way I was. It seemed a bit gratuitous for my taste.

It is unbeliveable to me that sickness that exsits in this world, and that people can do this to their own. This movie was excellant. A must see. NO Big names but it was a wonderful movie.

This was a very touching movie. I am not usually an emotional person but i just couldnt stop crying. Even after the movie was over. It shows everything in such graphic detail. It makes me sad just to realize that something of this magnitude could happen in my lifetime and I never hear anything about it until Hotel Rwanda came out (also a very good movie). I am just hurt inside to see human beings killed mercilessly and people take no action to stop it from happening!! I just dont get it. Everyone was just going on with their lives while innocent people were losing theirs. Just really sad!!
