Remembered fondly from viewing as a child, I tried watching this movie again and couldn't understand how someone could make a movie like this. Sure there is slapstick humor in it but how many times is slamming a door in your own face funny? Don't waste your time with it.

I was expecting MUCH MORE from this original "Panther" movie - - Sellers was not funny at all, and spent most of the movie being boring and somewhat serious....that of course, when they decided to show him in the film at all ! Director Blake Edwards spent WAY TOO MUCH TIME centering his movie around "non-actors." The movie itself was just plain STUPID - and most of the supporting cast, from the "Princess" to Robert Wagner, was extremely WEAK....horrible and pathetic acting ! Thank God the many follow-up "Panther" movies with Sellers years later were much better, and used Sellers and his fantastic humor as the main focus point of the film series.
