Amanda Bynes, though a good actress, didn't have that great of a voice. Don't even get me started on John Travolta's role as a woman. He couldn't even really talk like a woman and talked with a ridiculous accent throughout the film. Actually if it hadn't been for Travolta, I might've given this film 4 1/2 stars. Read More John Travolta's character was DISTURBING...especially the singing parts when he totally sounded like a man. It's like he didn't even try to disguise his voice. The songs were lame...way too much singing - and too many suggestive comments/scenes. Christopher Walken was the best actor in the movie. The original Hairspray with Ricki Lake was 100 times better than this. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No |
