Nikki Blonski is a joy to behold and all of the performances were excellent with John Travolta's Edna character as the best of the best. The big production number at the end "You Can't Stop The Beat" was awesome...I played that over and over.
I'd recommend this DVD to anyone looking for a fun time. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More I really enjoyed this movie, but have to admit it just wasn't as good as the first. Some of the characters were better than the originals (Corny Collins played by James Marsden is a perfect example of this), but John Travolta is only a close second to Tracy's mom in the original. People should see it for sure, but just remember, it isn't the original! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

I loved it so much. The actors did a great job with their roles. Maybe a bit too much singing but great none the less. Christopher Walken must have had a hard time with John Travolta but he didn't seem like it. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Cast was not used to their full potential, with the exeption of John Travolta--he seemed to be having a blast with this role. This is mainstream stuff.... Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Is it that I'm suffering from some disease where I keep remembering good songs? I watched this with a friend (her second viewing) and there wasn't one song worth remembering. I'd stop the DVD after each song and say, "Tell me one line in the song." She couldn't. "
Freeze film again: "Hum one line of the melody." She couldn't.
They were uninspiring songs. My friend never saw "West Side Story" which shocked me but I was able to give her three song titles from it that she'd heard elsewhere but never knew their origin. Each time she said she had heard of that song I'd yell, "It's from West side Story." I do tend to yell, but the point was that the songs were good. The weren't thrown together just to call the movie a musical and sell some "soundtrack" CD's. "Maria," "America," "I Feel Pretty," "Some thing's Comin'" and "Tonight." I rest my case.
