The only part I didn't like is that it was totally predictable. I'm getting tired of movies where they have to make the characters DUMB to make their plot work. The bad guy is what ruined the movie. With some reworking, they could have made it all work. Instead, you're watching saying to yourself, give me a break. There was action, suspense, drama, and a bit of horror. (No love making, so don't get your hopes up). There were no big stars in the movie, but who needs them. The storyline pretty much carried the movie itself. The movie even has a villian, and no its not the sun. The multicultural cast blended together and delivered quality acting. The storyline kept my attention and interest throughout the entire movie. This was far superior than other save the sun/save the world type movies. The scenes were not overblown and the special effects were just enough to compliment the storyline and character. Read More Excellent sets and effects, with believable characters who were never given the opportunity to become fully fleshed. However, the psychotic saboteur/slasher was completely unnecessary, unbelievable, and that really diminished what could have been developed into a fine story line. Crew deaths by homicidal maniac are silly; crew deaths as willing sacrifice to save something more important than themselves are memorable and honorable.
I wish there had been more plot setup at the beginning, to add more gravity to the loss of the first mission, the impact of the fading sun to Earth, and the essence of the payload. This movie combines bad acting with a bad plot and slowws it down so that you can actually hear your mind shutdown due to shear BOREDOM. This movie rates a ZERO star but because it was shot on a budget of $500 and looks it, I will give it a HALF A STAR. I think the only people that gave this movie five stars are the relatives of the actors appearing in this movie.
