Great story line with a new twist on the "end of the earth" type movies. This one kept me more than interested the whole way through. I truely enjoyed the acting and for me, I always judge a movie more on the way it ends as aposed to how it plays out over all and I was very please at how this one ended. A must see for the sci-fi lover. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Few people said it was hard to follow at the rental store? Didn't know why wasn't confusing at all cool plot. Would recommend to anyone that liked Redplanet, Supernova. 27 out of 43 people found this review helpful I was more or less very impressed with the movie. It kept my attention the whole time, not a moment of boredom, and it had a lot of suspense to be given, especially near the movie's 3rd act. It also had a lot of eye candy too. If you like all the beauty of outer space with lots of thrilling moments mixed in, I totally recommend this one to you.WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Every movie out does not have to have a romance involved in it. If you like science fiction than rent it, if your looking for romance get "When a man loves a woman?" Not "Sunshine". Too bad they couldn't have chucked the script at it first. Producer Andrew Macdonald squanders a heap of British film lottery money, a good cast, great cinematography, and a beautiful musical score on Alex Garland's terrible writing. In trying to avoid standard science fiction movie cliches, Garland instead manages to avoid characterization, comprehensible dialogue, and a plot with a beginning, a middle, and (par for his course, anyway) an end. His characters, who should be the best of the best in terms of brains, discipline, and competence, come off as squabbling, bumbling, victimized idiots. Don't be fooled by the big, bright effects, or by director Danny Boyle telling his camera people and editor to keep the action as shaky and hard to follow as possible: there's not an ounce of intelligence to be found in this thing. And it's horrifically depressing as well. Not recommended. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
