Plus the message about teaching people to think, not just accept whatever is thrown at you! At times the principle seemed worse than Prof. Umbridge from the Harry Potter series. Plus the reenactments of famous kissing scenes were a treat if you knew which movies they were from. But I was glad to have rented this movie. The special features sort of lacked in the⦠well beefing up the DVD. It had a curiously funny gag reel, but thatâs mainly it. Gregory Smith has been a fabulous actor in Everwood, but the greatness of this movie really goes to the supporting actors and the fact that the movie is based on actual events. Read More See if this is an appealing combination to you: a bunch of kids who are blinded by passion supporting causes of dubious value, an overzealous superintendent who is dead from the neck up who makes martyrs out of a bunch of these kids by inordinately punishing them, a teacher who would have fit in better in the 1960's who is working on trying to stir the kids up more, and a parent who seems to be values impaired. Sound bad - you're right. I naively hoped that a voice of reason or an actual adult would show up. Never happened. The girl at the store told me this was a great movie - boy was she wrong. Don't waste your time watching this turkey. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Go ahead pick any one of those. There were actually points in the movie where I wanted to peal my skin off just to stay awake. A bunch of 12 year old high schoolers protesting against their principle....oh my gosh and to some of you that may sound good so go ahead, rent it....but dont come crying to me afterward becasue all I'm gonna say is I TOLD YOU SO! The one and only reason I saw this film, NICOLE RICHIE. She was cute she did a good job then again she was in it for 15min and played a valley girl cheerleader. Even if you're a hardcore Nicole Richie fan take my advice, stay away from this one! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More Usually hollywood pumps out movies where the liberal message is somewhat sublte but they go for the gold in this one. There's a reason that teens buy this garbage; they're ignorant by nature and have a lot to learn about the way the world works. What would liberals do if they didn't dominate the public school system, media and feature films? How would they indoctrinate kids from the time they're born?
What I learned: Kids good; George Bush bad. Democrats good; Republicans bad. I guess if you pound it into peoples heads long enough they start believing it. Especially when you're an impressionable teenager that doesn't know any better and are too lazy to look for the truth. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
