I can't believe I wasted 110 minutes of my life watching this movie! I kept waiting for it to get better but it never did. It definitely had the potential of being a good movie but they failed to devlop the characters and the storyline and the acting was bland. The only highlight was looking at Jude Law. Even though I am a fan, it was painful to endure this movie.

You would think a movie with Jude Law would not be characterized as a cure for insomniacs but this movie started slow and went down hill from there. What a waste of talent. Frankly I think watching grass grow is more exciting than suffering through this waste of celluloid and what's worse is my wife agreed!

Director/writer Anthony Minghella fashions another stunning film with oscar-worthy performances (most notably Juliet Binoche). From the opening of the film it pulled me in and kept me glued to the screen the entire time. The way the characters develop is just wonderful and what could have been a conventional blackmail adultery movie turns out to be a beatuifully, hypnotic film.

I was very disapointed in this film. I had to stop half way through I couldn't even finish it. Very SLOW and No point. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE JUDE LAW but not here.

I had no idea what this movie was about, I just love Jude Law so I knew I wanted to rent it. Well this was nothing of what I expected! Yes it's a movie that shows a real side of how stressful families can be at times, and how people can drift apart, but It did this in a rather slow and boring way. I get the whole story, and the acting was great, but it was just to slow at times.
