I kept waiting for it to come to theatres so I could tell my friends to watch it, but I don't think it ever played ... Read More I saw a screening of this film and my boyfriend and I thought it was really good. I kept waiting for it to come to theatres so I could tell my friends to watch it, but I don't think it ever played in any theatres around me (and I live in L.A. where we tend to get all the movies).
I'm not sure why it went straight to video because it's very well done. Maybe not Oscar worthy but I would watch it again.

Read More They took too long getting to it, but the story was good, the acting was good (Binoche was very good) but it took too long to get rolling and I could only give it 3 stars. I just couldn't get into it. It never grabbed me. So many things in the story were just too unbelievable. I couldn't see the motivation for the characters to do the stupid things they did. Read More Jude Law gives a great performance as a gentle and considerate man, who has an affair with the mother of the boy who is burglarizing his business. Great story line, very well paced, interesting soundtrack, excellent characters (quite believable), make this an above average movie. Nicely done. But the story is very good and the movie was interesting most of the time.

Read More I was looking for something a little more exciting, but it was somewhat predictable; however, I would love to see the young boy (theft) who starred in this movie in other movies with his athletic abilities. He was outstanding and I could just watch him in a movie where they mix dance with gymnastics and just plain flexibility (kind of like "Save the Last Dance). Mistress takes pictures of married man during his post-coital nap to keep married man from sening her son to prison. Married man confesses to wife to prevent pictures from being published and convinces wife to life to the police to keep thief from jail. Married man and wife live happily ever after........
