On the heels of his first foray into romantic comedy, versatile French filmmaker Luc Besson breaks new ground yet again with this computer-animated, family-friendly adaptation of his own children's book Arthur and the Minimoys. Arthur is a wide-eyed ten-year-old whose vivid imagination is fueled by the colorful bedtime stories his grandmother reads to him each night. His dreams are filled with images of African tribes and the remarkable inventions detailed in the enigmatic book that his grandfather left behind after mysteriously disappearing four years ago. Arthur and his family are in danger of losing their home to an unscrupulous real-estate developer, but if there is any truth to the tales of a treasure hidden deep beneath their garden and the tiny, fairy-like creatures that his grandmother so frequently sketches, there may still be hope of saving their home before it's too late. Now, with nothing to guide him but the clues left behind by his grandfather, Arthur will set out to find the mythical world of Seven Kingdoms, where the Minimoys are said to dwell, and ensure that his troubled family always has a place to call home. An imaginative children's fantasy in the vein of J.M. Barrie's Peter Pan, Arthur and the Invisibles features the voices of David Bowie, Snoop Dogg, Madonna, Mia Farrow, and Freddie Highmore. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide

this movie seemed to not get much press while in theatres, but I'm glad that i took a chance and watched it. I loved the story line and characters in it and found that the "evil" character was not to scary for the little ones. This is also a great movie even for the adults in the family.

I watch movies with my 7 year old for the first showing and then she watches it over and over until I turn it back in...This time I was the one suggesting we watch it again. What an amazing movie that had no dull moments and typical of animation, there is always something that you didn't see or catch the first time. This one crosses the gender and generation lines!

This is a great movie for kids, familys and anyone who likes the whole CGI thing. This movie has something for everyone... it has a great story line, action and some teasing romance and wholesome family love. It has a great mix of real life and CGI.. the story moves along well, yes it gets slow in parts.. but let's face it... it is what it is, a great family movie that is easy to follow along with and is just good hearted. SO rent this with an open heart and keep in mind that it is meant to be like a story book type movie not an action packed action adventure.

Enjoyable childrens movie minus the underlying adult humor most childrens movies are sliding in now-a-days. Kept the kids interested, good story for kids and parents alike. Definately a good rental .

Arthur and the Invisibles was a very Great movie to see; Arthur himself after his birthday had made a very special journey that he found out that his Grandfather wanted him to do. He had went to this special place to be shrunken into a smaller person; meeting others that looked like him. So then they all started becoming friendly with each other and helped him look for this very special treasure that his Grandfather needed him to find. Later during the journey he finally found his grandfather and he also helped him the rest of the way through this special treasury he needed to find. After they found the treasure the boy and the grandfather were sent back to where they belonged, and were happy. This was an absolutely great movie to see; I suggest others would enjoy seeing it.

The voice overs by a real diverse group of folks here done really well. But so many problems with this. The boy's (Arthur) voice was English - even though neither of his parents nor his grandmother had English accents - only him - born and raised in Connecticut - so how does that happen? lol - whatever. The story was okay for TV - the animation ok for TV - but for the big screen? Just not going to hold up against other animated films for the big screen - this wasn't horribly bad - but it wasn't good either and I'm glad I just saw it at home on DVD. It was enjoyable enough ...and David Bowie was a pretty cool bad guy. We have Snoop Dog, we have Madonna and Bowie and who does the movie's big song? Jewel (about as bland as it gets). Over all I'd give it a 2.5 stars (if I could) It's better than a 2 though so 3 stars it is. Over-all I tend to agree more with the film critics on this one.
