Great tale and combo of music, real life and anamation. Almost as good as Mary Poppins.

Very good. Reminds me of Mary Poppins, though not as popular. The singing is pretty boring, but the under-water song gets stuck in your heard. Good action scenes, good humor, good all around.

I vaguely remembered seeing this movie at a drive-in theater when I was little (obviously), and having a nice time with my family. Sadly, when I just watched this with my two boys they were just bored and I couldn't blame them. This movie hasn't aged well, and the fact that Disney lost parts of it before they released this DVD is not surprising. Eglantine Price (Angela Lansbury) spends the whole movie trying to find a spell to make inanimate objects come alive, and my family spent the whole movie waiting for the movie to come alive. The songs were forgettable, the dance sequences wooden, and the animation certainly far below Uncle Walt's standards -- a reason, I'm sure, why this movie wasn't released until years after his death. I tried to relive a little of my childhood with my boys, and in the end all my 7-year old could say about it was, "Well, that was a long movie."

I loved this movie as a child, but as an adult, it just didn't "send" me. My suggestion? Rent it for your kids, and let their imaginations have a treat!!!

I didn't remember a whole lot about this movie from my own childhood, and upon watching it again my my daughter, I know why. A good deal of it is just a bit slow. The entertaining parts are the animated scenes, and the end with the magic armour, etc. Everything else was pretty boring. Not one of Disney's better works in my opinion. But your child will probably think it's good for the end alone with all the magic knights scaring off the Nazis. It made me chuckle.

A great child's tale, but may not keep too young of children interested as it was very slow and not very interesting in some respects. Of course, I'm an old woman, so what do I know. This movie showed the versatility of Angela Lansbury's talent and David Tomlinson was very good, but irritating at times. I would recommend this for viewing by children from ages 6 to 106.
