Why in the world Nicole Kidman would agree to be in thie wierd movie is beyond me. I loved a review on the first page called it "Wolfman meets the Desperate Housewife". I can see how it never made it to many theaters. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Truly, atrocious from beginning to end. I tried to sit through it with an open mind but the movie was so slow-moving, boring and inattentive to its audience. I fast-forwarded through it and still felt horrible when I got to the ending-just pointless. Nicole and Robert wasted themselves here. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More I was intrigued by the concept and actors, but like many, found the product disappointing. We see an artist looking at the world in a different way, seeking out the unusual, but hardly ever actually see her take a picture, never framing a shot and rarely holding her camera. What's more, by the end of the story, I felt more sympathy for the family she abandoned than for Diane. In fact, the moments I found most moving, were in her husband's pain; the way he grew a full beard after seeing her affection for Lionel, and the speach he gave at her birthday. He was far more likable than either of the leads. By the final scene, I found her down right creepy at the nudist colony.
If you are going to build a movie around a character who is an outsider, you still have to let the audience in enough to, if not like her, at least gain some understanding of her. I felt this film fell short. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Was this a true "Beauty & the Beast" saga ? I guess I just DIDN'T GET THIS MOVIE at all - - and why it was even made puzzles me even more. Nicole has taken on more than a few "odd" rolls in her film career - - but this one takes the cake. She can be VERY sentual and seductive - and she does this wonderfully in this film. But her poor husband, and two daughters - - watching Mom leave every night to spend some quality time with Wolfman Jack ! And wasn't "Chewbacca" (pilot in "Star Wars") a 1st-cousin of this guy ?? YIKES !! Did Nicole remember to get her rabies shots ?? And I didn't realize wolves could bodysurf either !! Great supporting cast of off-beat midgets, a 7-2" giant and a two-headed woman...wonderful !! This was an artsy version of "Harry and the Hendersons" - but worse ! (OMG !! My cat is coughing up a huge fur ball....gotta go !!) Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

As I watched THE WHOLE MOVIE...
WOOOOW...
I as a heterosexual man was moved by this movie and her fascination with the other side of life!
The END is AMAZING!!!!!
I HATE adultery, and women of SIN as I call them, but this was a beautiful love story, and AGAIN, WOW on the END!
Highly Recommend, BUT...watch past the 10-15 min. mark!!!! Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
