I though with Nicole and Robert it should have been at least good. It was bad to begin with and there was never any improvement.

I was pleasantly surprised by this unusual story. Great movie. I think you'll either love it or hate it, but it's worth the watch just in case you're one of the one's who loves it.

As a photographer I was a little sad when i heard this movie was going to be made. I didn't think Keane Arbus would be done justice and her name would become to main stream instead of a cult favorite. As an artist i might have strange tastes in movies, but i focus more on the visuals, color, and lighting then plot. However in this film it all came together for me. One of the best films i have seen in a really really long time.

This movie was a let down. I thought it would be good with Kidman in it...and not so much. First scene opens up with old men's little nackedness.... not exactly something that makes you want to watch more. Out of being weirded out I almost turned it off after that strange scene...I should have went with my first instinct.

I had NO idea what this movie was about, but found myself fascinated. I had to watch it over again the next day - and appreciated it even more. The visuals are unique - and the love story was beyond compare. I am a sucker for a good love story, and this one was one of the best I've seen. Robert Downey, Jr. was wonderful as the quirky "Lionel" - and Nicole Kidman was her usual luminous self. If you are a hopeless romantic, this movie is for you!

I don't know a thing about Diane Arbus, I'm not a big Kidman or Downey fan, and I don't usually get into the artsy movie genre per se, but this movie slowly sucked me in and kept me interested. There was a subtle tension to it that I found quite intriguing. I love the way the photographer husband starts growing his beard after meeting Downey's character and wondering what is going on with his wife. But you can't help feeling sorry for the guy, he's the most sympathetic character in the film. As for a Kidman 'nude scene', you wait a really long time for a very brief glimpse from behind, if that's what you're after in this film, it's probably not worth your time, but I thought the film really was....
