Read More Babel is the kind of movie that stays with you for a while. Oftentimes, a few weeks after viewing the movie, something happens & you are trying to figure out what that particular moment reminds you of....& it later comes to you, it was from the movie, Babel. It shakes you up and makes you wonder if incidences in our life really happen by chance..............Even though the setting for the movie Babel mainly takes place outside of the U.S., (Pakistan, Mexico & Japan), it still makes one think about our U.S. NRA slogan, "Guns don't kill people, peolple kill people."...........Doesn't that make one wonder............ Read More I have not seen a movie this tragically slow-moving, and directed in such self-important fashion, since "Hoffa." In fact, instead of watching this movie, I would rather watch Danny DeVito slowly, pensively smoke an entire cigarette while waiting around for Jack Nicholson to show up. At least Nicholson eventually shows up. This supposedly "deep" movie is a failure. And a torturesomely slow one at that. Like a high-priced rip-off of Crash. My wife gave up on it after 20 minutes and I am jealous. Somebody owes me 2 hours of my life for this. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

My husband is presently undergoing radiation and chemotherapy for newly discovered cancer . . . We had to travel 7 hours away from home and take our 3 kids out of school to get this treatment
.
. . . When the movie was finally, mercifully over, we determined we were very grateful to get our minds away from it and back to our own lives. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No

Read More I just knew I was going to love this. I thought from the title and previews that it would be about how difficult communication between different cultures and languages can be. I love films that make me think. Love social commentary films. This film make me think all right. Mostly it was ... what? huh? I don't get it? what is that supposed to have something - anything to do with this??? I like the story of the boys. Liked the story of the couple. They just made no sense all together. In the end it felt like an anti-american, anti-mideast involvement film. But I really don't know what they were aiming for. Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes | No
