What a complete waste of time. I figured as a Brad Pitt movie, I couldn't go wrong.....however, I was completely wrong. The connection to the multiple stories was configured badly. Read More If your planing on getting drunk or stoned go get Shrek XVI or whichever is the latest one. Otherwise you will be adding another complaint review like the others. This movie requires your full attention, some intelligence and a sense of compassion for you to get it. It jumps around between several different stories that are told in several different languages, so there are subtitles mixed in throughout the movie. In fact the majority of the movie is subtitled.
This is a very sad and thought provoking movie. It comments more on the similarities than the differences in the cultures portrayed throughout the world. I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it to those who don't require warm fuzz in their movies and who can give it their full attention to the end of the story, as the complete story does not come together till the very end. However, it is a beautiful film with a superb cast. Much like Crash it brings characters from very different walks of life (and around the world) together by way of interesting plot twists, crisis and loss. Read More Well in my opinion, I thought this movie tried to jump on the success that "Crash" had. In fact, I think this movie tried to be international crash, and just failed miserably. If you thought "Crash" was a good film then chances are you know what I'm talking about and if you haven't then I suggest getting that flick first or an under the radar movie similar to it like say "11:14."
