The director picked the right Queen in Helen Mirren who made this movie worth the time and of course interesting. Watching this movie felt like witnessing the actual situation inside the castle. Damn near fell asleep a couple of times. Haven't we all seen the "Diana" footage a million times by now? Even Helen Mirren's great acting couldn't save this movie. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Prince Philip was portrayed as a grouchy, sefl-centered old man. I would not have believed this side of him. Queen Elizabeth was portrayed as close as any human could have accomplished. Charles was whitewashed to seem he was too good and not as in real life. Tony Blair was great.
