You will love this uplifting movie. I is a real feel good experience for everyone. Smart, interesting, entertaining and real. Just did not want it to end.. What more could you ask for

Hilary Swank and Scott Glenn did a great job at following the director's output...no doubt in my mind that this should be a movie on everyones list to watch from age 5 to 150 years old.

Yet another teacher struggling to teach in the urban public school system - it's a true story - most of the dozen or so of these movies are though - but? There is normally some value to be found in all of them and this is no exception. More believable performances of the students by the young actors and actresses than the norm. Strong peformances and Hilary Swank? Well she's always great.

Wow was I surprised, I had read the reviews and most were favorable so I rented it. It turned out to be an excellent movie with no slow parts from start to finish. It gives you some insight into what foes on in the minds of of some of todays students and the challenges they face. Hillary Swank did an excellent job as did all of the students in the movie. I would highly recommend this if you qre looking for some quality filmwork for a change and to top it off, it is based on a real life story!
