Everything about it is first class all the way, from the cast, the story, the acting, the photography just everything. George Clooney is at the top of his form as the "janitor". It is the type of film, however, where one must pay attention. Someone suggested to me that more than one viewing might be a good idea, just so nothing is missed. This movie missed a lot of the detail given in the book. So if you haven't read the book it is very confusing. Backround info on many of the characters not sufficient. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

Decent movie. Too many characters and they could have shortened the movie by 45 mins. There was no climax to the movie, you just keep waiting for it to get better. WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes

The only thing brilliant as I see it - the only thing really EXTRA ordinary was Tom Wilkinson. Without his amazing (and then some) performance this would have left me disapointed after all the hype. The script was nothing new at all and various scenes were either not useful to the movie as a whole (editing probs as well) and others were just silly. I mean a man goes to the trouble to break into a crime scene that has been sealed and does so by turning in a favor to get a fresh seal so he can go in on the sly by night - but as soon as he gets in there he starts turning on the lights! That is just one example - there are more but? Again, over all this was still enjoyable enough for me - I mean I could watch George Clooney with the sound off for two hours and still give the movie 3 stars - so? 3 stars it is (but let nothing I say here diminish from Tom Wilkinson's performance - one of the best of the best of 2007 to be sure) WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL? Yes
