In this movied Will Smith plays a dedicated father and husband trying to get what alot of people in this world are trying to get "That Big Break". The actor Chirs Garner is on a mission through out this whole movie from chasing street singers and psychopaths (who by the way thinks Chris' bonedensity scanner that he is trying to sell is a time machine) across town to trying desperately to get that stock market job. Everything that could go wrong did and still Chris kept moving forward. I liked moments with him and his son,especially the part when Chris and his son both began to pretend that the bonedensity scanner was a time machine. A must see movie. I want it for my library.

A truly wonderful movie about the love between a father and a son, hard work, and perserverance. It is heartwrenching to watch at times but is ultimately uplifting. Will Smith demonstrates that he can be a serious actor and his son does a great job in his first action job.

The main actor could show more pain or more age in the early scenes fighting for his son with his wife - someone who went trhough that and through failure would feel a certain way - that part was weaker - the broker part worked - Movie is professional - I do't like the story- It is not a true Cindarella story in all senses. In every part the lead values money - needs certain kind of house, needs car, decision with cab driver. Would Jesus and Mother Theresa do the same thing? - And most people won't get that difference - Buckminster Fuller lived his life to help people - this person chose otherwise and people won't see the difference. It's presented one way when the character is something else - that is the crticism.
