I didn't know what to expect when renting this movie because I had not heard much about it other than the fact that Penelope Cruz was nominated for an oscar. Very good movie. Penelope is smoldering.

This was a truly engrossing film with beautiful acting, very good storyline, great direction, and fine musical score. Penelope Cruz was outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed this movie.

I am so sick of these "real Americans" and their inability to read. I would much rather hear the voices of the real actors then watch dubbed over nonsense. This is a great Almodovar movie and he sure loves directing women.Penelope Cruz is obviously trying to channel Anna Magnani and it is great seeing her act in Spanish again. I love the quirks of the characters and quirky storyline.

I I don’t mind foreign films when I’m in the mood, but since this is America and our official language (last time I checked) is still English, I would appreciate if blockbuster would start to mark non English speaking films as such. Now as for the movie, it did not really keep my interest; I started watching and turned it off after about 30min, so my review may not be fair for the entire movie. I found it slow moving, and boring.
