The scenes of one long shot with no cuts were simply incredible. If camera work and how scene's are shot interest you, rent this movie now. If not, the movie is really rather weak. This movie has stunning reviews every where you look. don't buy into it. lower your expectations drastically and you might not be dissappointed. and that's a strong "might". Read More I love the reviews of this film, they range from "I didn't get it" to "It's the best film of 2006". I had a friend highly recommend it, and I really enjoyed it, but I have to agree with some of the critics in that it didn't answer all the questions it raised. How did we end up in the situation that started the movie? How did saving the baby girl effect the world going forward? Lots of unanswered questions in a very visually stunning film. So I went and got it. After watching the movie and sit for a little bit I thought to myself. LOL I have just been robbed, then I got scared, thinking of all them stars that ppl put up for this movie. I really thought to myself pick the phone up call 911 and tell them that they are someone running around with a freaking batt hitting ppl over the dang head because of all them stars. But as we close in on the ending, we realize that we need more back story to really feel the payoff. This DVD really needs a directorâs commentary trackâbadly. The camera work and set and art direction were some of the best work I've ever seen. The actors were all excellent. And the story is different and interesting.
A very intense film.

Hope in hopelessness, Love in hatred, tolerance in the face of betrayal. While Clive Owen first impressed me with his performance in "King Arthur", this movie shows what a truly talented actor he is.
The trailers that I saw prior to watching this movie do not do the finished project justice. This movie is based in the future, yet it doesn't fall into the trap of making an unbelievable future. With today's world events this film doesn't show a truly dark dreary future nor an overly technical one.
Just to finish a very quick review... If you like the concept of what could happen when events get out of hand done with a very real touch this movie is for you. The acting is superb (special note: Michael Caine's very brief appearance shows why is he considered one of the better actors of all time). I give this 5 out of 5 for everything. The people that gave this movie a high rating were just that. I've seen better story lines in pornos. Please, the action was good but it never states why there was infertility or why the one woman got pregnant. Then came the ending which made it even that much worse. I thought okay maybe they will show some sort of explanation of anything but no that would be too much to hope for all you are left with is a blank screen at the end on a miserable hour and fifty minutes Close this Review WAS THIS REVIEW HELPFUL?
